The Player is the main protagonist of the game. The gender of the Player is unknown, and it is the person you play as. It is assumed that the Player is a thief, due to what they do in the game. The Player is shown to be very strong, as they are able to lift objects as heavy as a grandfather's clock, and even objects that the Owner stands on. The Player is very organized, as they create a list of objects to "borrow", and it is reflected on the game's title.

It's also worthy to note that the player has black gloves along with long dark black sleeves. The only time you can see the player's hands is when you get hit by owner 2-3 times (when you die, of course.) for a second before The Player falls down and the game over screen appears, you can see their hand for a second.
